Needle piercing vs piercing guns

A professional piercing needle is sterile, single-use and designed to create a clean, accurate opening. It gives an experienced piercer control over placement and allows each ear to receive their full attention.

At Little Viper, we use a separate sterile, single-use professional piercing needle for each ear. Every needle is opened fresh and safely disposed of immediately after use. We never reuse needles.

Piercing guns use force to push the earring through the ear. Little Viper never uses them. Every appointment is carried out by Chris, a DBS-checked professional piercer with 15 years’ experience, inside our licensed Irlam studio.

Each ear is pierced individually for accuracy. This also gives us the freedom to pause, reassure your child and stop completely if they become too distressed.

The £65 appointment includes both ears, your choice of 2mm gold-plated sterling-silver safety earrings or matching 2mm titanium safety bars, Studex aftercare lotion and a Certificate of Bravery.

Once the piercings are fully healed, we can also autoclave a suitable pair of next earrings free of charge before their first change.
