Professional piercing,

Little Viper grew from years of welcoming families into The Viper Pit, our licensed tattoo and piercing studio in Irlam. Parents were looking for somewhere calm, experienced and properly equipped for their child’s first ear piercing—not a rushed appointment or an occasional salon service.
We created a specialist experience built around little ones and their parents. We are strictly needle-only and never use piercing guns. Each ear has its own fresh, sterile single-use needle, and every detail is considered—from careful placement to straightforward aftercare and our promise never to force or rush a piercing.

A professional piercing needle is sterile, single-use and designed to create a clean, accurate opening. At Little Viper, each ear is pierced with its own separate needle so Chris can work carefully and place each piercing individually.
Piercing guns use force to push the earring through the ear. At Little Viper we never use them. Every needle is opened fresh and safely disposed of immediately after use—we never reuse needles.

Keep the area clean and follow the aftercare guidance given at the appointment. Your £65 package includes a bottle of Studex aftercare lotion, so you leave with what you need and clear instructions on how to use it.
Avoid unnecessary touching and do not change the first earrings before the piercings are fully healed. When the time is right, we can check them and autoclave a suitable pair of next earrings free of charge.

What is the minimum age?+
Little Viper appointments are suitable from 4 months old.
What do I need to bring?+
Please bring your child’s Red Book. A parent or legal guardian must attend the appointment. No additional photo identification is required.
How long does the appointment take?+
Please allow approximately 15 minutes. We keep the appointment calm, focused and unhurried.
Are both ears pierced at the same time?+
No. Each ear is pierced individually so your piercer can give careful attention to placement and accuracy.
What earrings can we choose?+
Choose from 2mm gold-plated sterling-silver safety earrings or the same 2mm safety-bar style in titanium, selected especially for babies and young children.
What is included in the £65 price?+
The appointment, both earrings, a bottle of Studex aftercare lotion and a Little Viper Certificate of Bravery are all included.
Are your piercers DBS checked?+
Yes. Your child’s appointment is carried out by an experienced, DBS-checked professional piercer in our licensed studio.
Do you use piercing guns?+
No. Little Viper is strictly needle-only—we never use piercing guns. Each ear is pierced with its own separate sterile, single-use professional piercing needle.
What equipment do you use?+
We use a separate sterile, single-use professional piercing needle for each ear, alongside disposable piercing consumables. Every needle is opened fresh and safely disposed of immediately after use. We never reuse needles.
Can you sterilise their next earrings?+
Yes. Once the piercings are fully healed, bring in a suitable pair of earrings you have chosen and we will sterilise them in our autoclave free of charge before their first change. We will confirm that the earrings are suitable for autoclaving and that the piercings are ready to change.
Where are you based?+
Little Viper is inside The Viper Pit at 84 Liverpool Road, Irlam, Manchester M44 6FN. We welcome families from Irlam, Manchester, Salford, Trafford and the surrounding areas.
Is there parking nearby?+
Yes. Free parking is available directly next to the studio with no time limit, so there is no need to rush your child’s appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?+
Appointments are paid in full when booked. Give us at least 24 hours’ notice for a full refund or free change. We also allow one free late change for child illness or a genuine family emergency—please contact us before the appointment. Full details are below.
Do you welcome cultural and family ear-piercing traditions?+
Yes. Ear piercing can be an important cultural, religious or family tradition. We welcome every family and provide the same calm, respectful and professional care. Please speak to us before booking if there is a particular tradition or requirement you would like us to understand.
What if my child becomes upset?+
Their comfort always comes first. We never force or rush a piercing. If your child becomes too upset or distressed, we pause and will not proceed or complete it.

We understand that plans change and little ones become unwell. Our policy protects appointment time while giving families reasonable flexibility.
Payment
The £65 appointment price is paid in full when you book. It is not treated as a separate deposit.
24+ hours’ notice
Cancel or rearrange with at least 24 hours’ notice and choose a full refund or a free move to another available appointment.
Illness or emergency
If your child is unwell or there is a genuine family emergency, contact us before the appointment. We will move the booking once, free of charge, even with less than 24 hours’ notice.
Late cancellation
Other cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable because the reserved appointment may be difficult to refill.
If they become upset
We never force a piercing. If your child becomes too distressed to continue, the payment can be transferred once to a new appointment within eight weeks.
No-shows and studio changes
Missed appointments without contact are non-refundable. If we need to cancel, you may choose a full refund or a new appointment.
This policy does not affect your statutory consumer rights, including any cancellation rights that apply to services booked online.
